In the afternoon, the Brazilian president participates in the International High Level Conference for the peaceful solution of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two -state solution, at the United Nations (UN) headquarters, starting at 3 pm local time. This Sunday, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Portugal announced the recognition of Palestine. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement that “there will be no Palestinian state.”
Back at her hotel in the late afternoon, Lula still meets with King Carl XIV Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, in a meeting scheduled for 18h.
