So far, the air was only models from Boeing and Airbus. With the request, it is the only one among the main three airlines that fly in the country not to have Embraer planes in its fleet.
The Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, also celebrated in publications on his social networks. “There are more than $ 10 billion of investments, which will generate more than two thousand direct jobs,” said Costa Filho. He pointed out that acquisitions strengthen the country’s connectivity in the domestic network and with neighboring countries.
Deliveries of the 24 aircraft will start in the second half of 2026, initially for Latam Airlines Brazil and, later, with the potential to include other affiliates of the group. According to the airline, orders are part of a plan to expand connectivity in South America.
The E195-E2 will integrate the Latam Group fleet, which is now composed of 362 aircraft: 283 Airbus Narrow-Bodies, 3 Airbus Wide-Bodies in short-term leasing, 56 Boeing Wide-Bodies and 20 Boeing freighters. Since 2021, the group has expanded its air network from 129 to 160 passenger destinations – an increase of 24%.
