Former President Michel Temer (MDB) has sent a proposal for constitutional modification to the amnesty bill rapporteur, suggesting that those involved in January 8 events are ineligible for eight years. The suggestion aims to change article 14 of the Federal Constitution.
The proposal includes not only the direct participants of the acts, but also those who contributed to their occurrence. Temer stressed that the measure would not interfere with, which would continue to be applied normally.
During an interview, the former president clarified that, so far, there is no definitive text to be voted.
Temer’s proposal represents one of several suggestions that are being considered under the negotiations related to the amnesty PL.
