On the same day in the South Moravian city, Andrej Babiš was also campaigning. Recent surveys show that the coalition is still missing about ten percent of the YES election favorite.

Political scientist Lubomír Kopeček from Masaryk University says that the campaign of opposition and coalition parties and focuses on other topics.

“Opposition parties headed by YES criticize the government that it has not been able to solve some of the Czech economic problems. It is very likely that the YES movement will ensure the victory in the elections. The government parties cannot work very much with economic success.

Most pro -Russian are from opposition parties SPD Tomia Okamura and the coalition was enough! led by Kateřina final. Openly in the campaign, they mention a referendum on withdrawal from the European Union.

“In the Czech pre -election information space, NRATIVES are certainly favorable to Moscow – especially from subjects such as enough!, Motorists, SPD AV SPDs dominating YES,” said Jan Kleiner from Masaryk University.

This is essential, because surveys do not indicate that YES could make a government without a coalition partner, at least not so that the Babiš party reaches an absolute majority in the House.

If he wants to rule, he will have to agree with alternative partners. These are the motorists who have recently skipped a five percent quorum and the SPD and the coalition was enough! led by Kateřina final. In particular, the latter two entities may have foreign-political conditions to support or be members.

Analyst Kopeček in an interview for Aktuality.sk also talks about what an agreement might look with them. “For example, an agreement on the Constitutional Referendum Act may arise, so that it is possible to vote at all, because the Czech Republic does not have a referendum law, and it may not be clear to the government or on NATO and the EU membership.”

The Russians wrote about Prague

The Russian state agency TASS a few days ago commenting the chairman YES Andrej Babiš. The alleged observer of the analytical center of Alexander Cygana writes that Babiš could contact Slovakia and Hungary after a possible return to the head of the government and thus reduce the “anti -Russian hysteria” in Czech politics.

In the text, however, he states that the chairman of YES does not have to follow the Russians after the elections. “The coalition of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary will be too strong in the eyes of Brussels. This means that Babiš will receive an offer that as a practical entrepreneur will not be able to refuse,” he describes the screenplay, which he justifies why Babiš Moscow might not suit.

The alleged author of Cygans assumes that Babiš could form a government with the SPD Tomia Okamura and the coalition was enough! led by the Communists, which he describes as a “key partner YES”. He also devotes himself to motorists in the text, but he considers them “rather redundant”, since yes, SPD and was enough! should have enough power in parliament. He adds, however, that motorists could replace it was enough!, If “contemporary Communists could not agree with the former”.

The agency also writes an explosion in the ammunition warehouse Vrbětice, in which the agents of Russian military intelligence GRU participated. Two Czech citizens died there and Prague for the explosion came into a diplomatic conflict with Moscow in 2021.

“Babis triggered a dirty scandal against Moscow when he accused agents of Russian special services of an explosion in a military warehouse in the village of Vrbětice,” says the Russian agency, which is a loud trumpet of Vladimir Putin’s local regime.

On the text of the Russians, the Czech portal of the news Babiša. “I don’t care what the Russians write,” he replied. The Czech server has accused that some media, including news, spread lies, on the basis of which the Russians write such articles.

Will the Russians affect the campaign?

The Slovak pre -election campaign in 2023 also mixed during the moratorium Russians. Their foreign intelligence intelligence on its website issued an opinion on the elections in which paradoxically claimed that they were trying to influence the US.

The head of the secret service Sergei Naryshkin claimed that the United States tried to achieve the forces to deepen partnership with the US in various forms (pressure, intimidation or bribes). The report was published on September 28, at that time there was a electoral moratorium in Slovakia, during which the ability of parties or media to respond to misinformation.

Recently, she released a similar opinion of the intelligence again, this time about Hungary. At the beginning of August, they wrote that Brussels allegedly plans to replace the regime of Viktor Orban in Hungary. The report in Hungary began to spread the government -controlled media. “Given the position of contemporary Hungary, its long -term foreign policy orientation and disputes with the EU, the spread of such reports is directly offered, because this conflict and strengthening Orbán are clearly in the interests of the Russian Federation, and the perspective of SVR is basically their work.”

The Czech Republic or Slovakia are a similar goal to Hungarians, especially before the elections, when the intensity of misinformation is most increasing. The Kremlin is trying to win the parties inclined to it or at least to damage those at the other end. “Russia is enough to influence the results of the elections by only a few percent to lean in its advantage and change the foreign or other policy of the state significantly,” adds political scientist Jan Kleiner.

Before spreading misinformation before the elections in the Czech Republic at the beginning of the year, the head of the local secret service BIS Michal Koudelka. The popular phenomenon of misinformers is the neighbors and chain mails that people send. The target group is mainly seniors and people with less access or interest in information verification. Disinformation in the form of chain emails also spread before the Czech presidential elections in 2023.
