"We cannot continue in silence": King of Spain asks for the end of the "massacre in Gaza"

Faced with the United Nations General Assembly, the king of Spain said it is impossible to be silent before the devastation in the Palestinian territory. “We cry out, we implore, demand: end with this massacre,” said Felipe VI.

In recent years, the president of the Spanish government has always assumed the role of pointing his finger at the situation in the Gaza Strip. But this time it was the king of Spain to ask for the end of the massacre, in a position in line with Pedro Sánchez, who has been one of the most critical voices of the Israeli government.

“We cry out, we demand, we demand: end with this massacre. We cannot continue silent or pretend we do not see devastation, bombing, even hospitals, schools or refuge. We cannot continue in the face of so many civil deaths or hunger and the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of people. They are abominable acts,” Felipe VI said.

Hours earlier, during the meeting with leaders from Arab and Muslim countries, the president of the United States once again promised to wage the war in Gaza.

Trump gathered with Arab and Muslim leaders

The meeting joined Donald Trump with the leaders of Qatar, the Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan, Indonesia, Jordan and Egypt. However, The meeting ended without the presentation of any concrete proposal.

The French president says that at this time only the US can stop the war in Gaza. Emmanuel Macron recalls that Washington is by far the main supplier of weapons and military equipment to Israel.
