The Special Secretary of the IRS, Robinson Barreirinhas, said on Friday (26) that there is an environment to approve the bill of the debtor in the House of Representatives. The text has already passed the Senate.

He gave an interview to GloboNews. “There is an environment – including because of these operations against organized crime, this transparency that was given to the problem – for approval in the National Congress,” he said.

For Barreirinhas, approving this law is “essential” for Sanear sectors affected by players that intentionally circumvent the tax authorities. Thus it would be possible to make room for regular entrepreneur to access these markets.

The Secretary of Revenue criticized Brazilian law because it is very “fragile” by punishing those who break the tax rules.

“No one, in Brazil, will be arrested for not paying tribute, for defrauding the tax authorities. And see, I’m not talking about a serious businessman who eventually has a difficulty and can not pay. I am talking about that person who enters the market with the intention of defrauding,” he said.

He also stated that the main affected by the money laundering scheme involving organized crime at gas stations and other commercial establishments are the states.
