Event, which is attended by Camilo Santana, Fernando Haddad, Gleisi Hoffmann and Alexandre Padilha, celebrates the role of the Ministry of Education in the formulation of educational public policies in Brazil
O Participates, this Sunday (28), the race and walk MEC 95 years, in Brasilia. The event, which brings together sports and health, marks the celebrations for the anniversary of theresponsible for almost a century of public policy aimed at educational area in the country.
The race has about 6,000 subscribers, including servers, outsourced, interns, amateur athletes and community members. Participants compete for 3 km (walking), 5 km and 10 km routes, as well as specific categories for men, women and paratletes. The start happens in front of the MEC headquarters building.

Created in 1930, the Ministry of Education has played a central role in the development of Brazilian educational policies, from literacy and expansion of basic education to the consolidation of public universities and programs for access to higher education, such as FIES and . Over the course of 95 years, it has become a reference in the formulation of actions to ensure the right to education at all stages of education.
