Ministers Robert KaliňáK (Direction-SD) has criticized During Sunday (28. decisions of the Specialized Criminal Court (STS). He challenged the merits of the existence of this specialized judicial instance. They stated from the TASR Court that the STS will not respond to statements by politicians.
Kaliňák underwent criticism of the court’s decision on the detention of Daniel Bombic, which faces an indictment of extremist crime. The minister considers the custody to be scandalous. According to him, the court is subject to media pressure.
“It is necessary to think about whether it is at all a productive component of the judicial system,” Kaliňák said in a discussion session. “The Specialized Criminal Court will not comment on the statements of politicians,” the court said in its opinion for TASR.
