In Warsaw, the conclusions of Trump’s peace proposal in Gaza were discussed. The German Foreign Minister appealed to the courage to take a decisive step.
The solution of the war in the Gaza Strip is within reach, the German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said on Monday at the Weimar Triangle in Warsaw. According to the DPA report, TASR reports this.
The head of German diplomacy at a meeting with counterparts from Poland, France and Ukraine called on Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas to agree with the peace plan, which was presented last week by US President Donald Trump to representatives of Arab and Muslim states.
“The solution is within reach,” Wadephul said. “We call on all the parties to have the courage to take the final decisive step,” he said.
Germany worked on peace
According to the German Minister of Foreign Affairs, the war in the Gaza Strip must end and Hamas must release hostages. Wadephul claims that the German government has been working hard on this in recent months. “Now is the time to open the door for long -lasting peace,” he said.
According to DPA, Germany is convinced that peace will only occur on the basis of the agreed solution in the form of two states and when Hamas will no longer rule in the Gaza Strip. Trump is scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday in the White House. He is expected to introduce the above -mentioned plan to end the almost two -year war in the Gaza Strip, which has so far claimed at least 66.055 victims.
The White House chief for Axios said that negotiations on this plan are in the final stages. On Sunday, he indicated a possible breakthrough in the Middle East crisis saying that there is a “real chance of success”. On his social network Truth Social said that “everyone agreed on something special”.
