The SinProfaz (National Union of National Treasury Prosecutors) issued a note in which it argues that the pages of members of the (Attorney General of the Union) and states that they do not represent expenses to the treasury.

Sinprofaz points out that the bonus is provided for by law and the statute of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) and had the constitutionality recognized by the Supreme Court (STF).
“The fees of succumbing are paid by the party overdue in the proceedings, not by the National Treasury,” says the entity. “For this reason, they do not represent expense to the public coffers. This is a remuneration funds, on which income tax such as any other remuneration perceived by public servants.”
The union also points out that the amounts do not make up the monthly salary of public lawyers and also do not violate the constitutional ceiling. “The performance of the National Treasury prosecutors and other public lawyers of the Union is essential to ensure the entry of billions of reais to the public coffers, contributing directly to the fiscal balance of the Brazilian State,” says the demonstration.
“Thus, Sinprofaz reaffirms that the fees of succumbing, far from configuring privilege or burden on society, strengthens public law, expand the efficiency of public burden management and generate concrete benefits to both the Brazilian state and the most vulnerable population,” the note concludes.
