Gaps in databases and lack of energy consumption data – the Court of Auditors (RH) sees a lot of room for improvement in terms of energy efficiency in the Federal Immobilien Society (BIG). The company owned by the Republic is well on course to meet the current period 2021 to 2030. As early as 2022, 50 percent of the target value value of 258 gigawatt hours (GWH) specified in the Federal Energy Efficiency Act could be achieved. However, the RH criticizes the fact that this was achieved through energy saving contracting by a service provider and energy management such as reducing room temperatures.
