What is Vitinho’s injury?
This Sunday, the player performed an examination of images and had an injury in the medial meniscus of his right knee and will make arthroscopy on Monday (06/10), at the Syrian-Lebanese hospital in São Paulo.
In Corinthians’ victory over Mirassol, Vitinho entered the field at 17 minutes of the second half, instead of Gui Negão, but remained only 22 minutes in action before being replaced due to the physical problem.
During a ball race race, the player felt knee pain, dropped the play, went to the ground and had to leave the field.
Without Vitinho, Corinthians’s offensive system has Yuri Alberto, Gui Negão, Memphis Depay, Kayke, Dieguinho and Talles Magno available.

Vitinho: What is the recovery time?
Vitinho was subjected, this Monday (6), to an arthroscopy in the right knee to treat the injury in the medial meniscus.
The surgical procedure was performed at the Syrian-Lebanese Hospital in São Paulo. After the surgery, the player will be at rest until Wednesday (8), and will start the rehabilitation process with the club’s physiotherapy team already on Thursday (9), at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava.
As you usually do, Corinthians did not disclose an estimated deadline for Vitinho’s return to the lawns. However, the recovery time of an injury to the medial meniscus may vary from six to 12 weeks, depending on gravity and the type of surgery.
In cases of meniscectomy (partial retreat of meniscus), the return is usually faster than when the suture is required (reconstruction).
