The 2026 State Budget proposal has an increase of 40 euros from the solidarity complement to the elderly. There will also be update of the pensions.
The Solidarity Supplement for the Elderly (CSI), which benefits more than 230,000 people with low income, will be reinforced by 40 euros in 2026.
O current CSI reference value, ie the maximum value that an elderly can receive is 630.67 euros. However, according to Social Security the CSI average value is 198.93 euros.
According to (JN), next year there will also be the update of pensions, depending on inflation and gross domestic product (GDP). In total, with both installments, the state will disburse another 700 million euros than this year.
By 2025, the government estimated to spend 24.3 billion euros on pensions (old age, survival and disability) and the CSI. However, according to the JN, in this amount, the extraordinary increase in pensions, granted by the government later this year, for renovations up to 1567 euros, did not enter.
