Tested two months ago, the initiative of right-wing governors seeking unity against management (PT), including the realization of, lost breath in front of cracks in the segment, the distrust of the Bolsonaro clan and the reluctance of the former president to indicate a successor to 2026.

The meeting of the governors who aimed a joint articulation took place on August 7, a few days after the house arrest of the former president and before his conviction in the (Federal Supreme Court). Participants of these conversations attribute the cooling of Bolsonaro’s uncertainty about the political future and other guidelines that took the news, such as the project that grants amnesty to the convicts in the coup attacks, including Bolsonaro, the Armage PEC and the expansion of IR (Income Tax) exemption.

Among the participants of the first meeting, at the house of the governor of, (), there were four quoted to the presidential candidacy: Caiado, Ratinho Jr (PSD), Paraná, (Republicans), and (Novo), from Minas Gerais.

Zema, in turn, was with Tarcisio last week in São Paulo and with Caiado about a month ago in Belo Horizonte. The miner gives his candidacy as certain, either as a representative of the right, or as an independent name.

Although pre-candidates have avoided criticizing each other, one of the intentions placed at the meeting two months ago, the exchange of barbs inside the right made the idea of unification difficult.
Caiado attacked Ciro Nogueira after the parliamentarian left him out of Bolsonaro’s list of presidential presidential. The acronyms of the two and last month announced together.
The president of the PP cited the options of Tarcisio and Ratinho Jr. in an interview with the newspaper O Globo. Caiado classified his speech as disrespectful and recalled his connection with the PT in the past.

There was no advance in the candidacies, and Bolsonaro’s family became a factor of instability.
Carlos and Eduardo Bolsonaro have criticized the search for a successor to the former president, who is already ineligible and now sentenced to 27 years and three months in prison.
The deputy is living in the United States and was denounced by the Attorney General, on the charges of articulating actions to intervene in the former president’s proceedings. Even so, he started to put himself as an alternative to the presidency in 2026.
“But there is no problem that Tarcisio is a candidate. But why, if I signal in this direction, then I am the problem? Why don’t they treat me like the mouse, Caiado and Zema? Let the audience choose,” he told an Instagram follower that he claimed to be a scholarship and defender of a Tarcisio candidacy. “Now, wanting in the wickedness of the pen to arrest, without justification, the Bolsonaros who are willing to run for president, that should cause strangeness,” he added.
Ciro Nogueira spoke in late August with Eduardo by phone, when he asked him to focus his artillery against the left.
He is one of the leading enthusiasts of a more concrete union of the political group and recently said that the right has. It has become one of the main targets of reticent pockets to candidacies other than the ineligible former president.
