The launch of children’s books em which took place last Saturday (4) is already successful among fans. During a conversation at Travessa’s bookstore in Lisbon, the actor, writer and filmmaker filled the space and granted autographs on the street. “The decision was to make the autographs on the street, because it is so many people who could not do in the bookstore. What a beautiful thing!”
The public honored the session, which was filled with several of his works, such as Caixa Magic and I feel what I feel. For him, the books represent the experience of their blackness: “They had no books in which the protagonist looked like me […] For a long time, I thought my writing had no value, that what I thought did not matter, so I wrote and showed no one. ”
Everything changed on a night of insomnia, when he decided to write his first work intended for children, the play Paparutas, which marked his debut in the children’s show in 2016. A few years later, came the first book, Edith and the Old Sitada, in 2021. Finally, the author thanked the presence of the audience, especially the children: “the children are my motive for writing, because I always think of you, I think the head of children and I think I think the head of children and I think I think the heads of children and I think I think the head and I think you always think of you. You are amazing. You are creative, and deserve to see books that have your face. ”
