SOZA Prices (Slovak Association of Authority) are the only important music award in Slovakia. Every year they are granted to authors whose works have achieved the highest number of losses and the greatest success in the past year, as well as those who have significantly participated in the development of Slovak musical culture. In the 29th year of the awards ceremony, eleven awards, seven statistical prizes and four honorary awards were awarded on Wednesday Evening (October 8).
The composer of the most played works was in 2024 Ivan Tásler, who won this prestigious award for the thirteenth time in a row, Overall, his account is fourteen awards. Another author who defended his victory is the lyricist Vlado Krausz. He again won the award in the category of the lyricist of the most played works.
For Krausza, this is already the eighth separate authorial price for texts, while he also has eight co -authors’ awards, including the song Dance with me, who won the prize for the most played song in online for the third consecutive year, thus confirming Krausz on his significant presence on the Slovak music scene.
The SOZA laureates were the first time the music producer and DJ Peter Macko, acting under the artistic name Peter Pann. The award was awarded in the category of the most successful author of music works in the online area. Matúš Kolárovský, performing under the artistic name Yael, became another new winner of the SOZA Award and for the first time he won the award in the category of the most successful young author under 25 years.
The title of the most played song for 2024 won the song around us group Para with Jana Kirschner. Dance the song with me in the author’s tandem Adam Ďurica, Matej Turcer and lyricist Vlad Krausz for the third time in a row the award for the most played song in the online space. This year, Sima Magušinová received the award for the most successful sound carrier for her album Transformation.
Two prominent authors were awarded the Grand SOZA Award, which is awarded the living author for a significant contribution to the development of Slovak music culture – in 2024 – Listory Daniel Hevier and composer Stanislav Hochel.
The entry in the Golden Book SOZA is granted to the non -living author for their fundamental contribution to the development of Slovak musical culture. In 2024, this honor is Pavel Braxatoris and Petr Hanzely.
