A 62-year-old man died this Friday after being run over by a car in the Cercal do Alentejo area, Santiago do Cacém municipality, in the Setúbal district, said a Civil Protection source.
The source from the Alentejo Litoral Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command told the Lusa agency that the alert for the accident, which occurred on Estrada Nacional 120 in the Chaparral area, was given at 7:32 pm.
According to the same source, death was declared at the scene by the doctor in the emergency and resuscitation medical vehicle (VMER) at the Hospital do Litoral Alentejano (HLA), located in Santiago do Cacém.
13 operational personnel from the Cercal do Alentejo and GNR firefighters were mobilized to the site, supported by six vehicles, including VMER.
