The Shanghai Masters 1000 will have a surprising final. Favorites Medvedev and Djokovic fell by the wayside, paving the way for a decision between Valentin Vacherot and Arthur Rinderknech. The decision takes place this Sunday, at 5:30 am (Brasília time), broadcast on ESPN and Disney+.
One of the greatest tennis players of all time, Djokovic was surpassed by world number 204. This Saturday (11/10), the Frenchman beat the current fifth best in the world by 2 sets to 0, with partials of 6/3 and 6/4.
In the other duel, Arthur Rinderknech, number 54 in the world, beat the 18th in the world, Daniil Medvedev, also this Saturday, by 2 sets to 1, with partials of 6/4, 2/6 and 4/6.
The interesting thing is that Rinderknech and Vacherot are cousins.
