Meeting on Monday (Oct 13) brings together world leaders to discuss ceasefire, reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and regional security
The president of the United States, (Republican Party), and the president of Egypt, will lead the Peace Summit in Egypt on Monday (Oct 13, 2025), aimed at ending the war in Gaza, reconstruction plans for the region and the creation of a new regional security arrangement in the Middle East.
According to the Egyptian government, the following are participating in the summit:

- Keir Starmer (Labour Party, center left), Prime Minister of the United Kingdom;
- Giorgia Meloni (Brothers of Italy, right), Prime Minister of Italy;
- Pedro Sanchez (PSOE, center-left), Prime Minister of Spain;
- Emmanuel Macron (Renaissance, center), president of France.
The Prime Minister of Israel, (Likud, right), has not yet confirmed his presence, and Hamas has declared that it will not participate in the meeting. The information is from .

After the meeting, the prime minister stated that Israel fought for 2 years “to achieve their war aims” e “you’re about to get it” the return of the 48 hostages still held by Hamas. It is estimated that at least 20 are still alive.
