Toronto/Chicago – The deployment of the National Guard in Chicago ordered by US President Donald Trump is still on hold: A US appeals court ruled on Saturday that hundreds of mobilized National Guardsmen may remain in the US state of Illinois, but may not be deployed for the time being. The appeal court thus largely confirmed a decision of the first instance.
