The seven hostages were released by Hamas militants to the Red Cross, according to Israeli officials.
They will soon be handed over to the Israeli army.
According to the Hostage and Missing Families Forum, they are:
Gali Berman E Ziv Berman
Twin brothers Ziv and Gali Berman were kidnapped from their home on kibbutz Kfar-Aza during the October 7 attack. They were 26 at the time and have now turned 27.
In an interview with CNN in February 2025, their mother, Liran Berman, said that other hostages who had been freed told the family that the brothers were alive.
She said the family had not received any information other than the fact that the brothers were alive and separated.
The Hostage and Missing Family Forum said Ziv Berman likes to start his day with a cup of coffee and a game of backgammon and has “an impressive shoe collection.” They said he’s a fan of reality TV and loves his mom’s homemade cookies.
Ethan Abraham
Eitan Abraham Mor, a native of Kiryat Arba, was working as a security guard at the Supernova festival when he was kidnapped in the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.
According to Israeli media, the last appearance of Mor, then 23, was when he was taking other people to safety.
Omri Miran
Omri Miran was kidnapped when Hamas gunmen raided his family’s home on kibbutz Nahal Oz; he was 46 years old at the time.
In April 2024, Hamas released a video showing Miran alongside American-Israeli hostage Keith Siegel, who has since been released.
Miran’s wife Lishay Lavi and daughters Roni and Alma survived the attack.
Matan Angrest
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldier Matan Angrest was 20 years old when he was kidnapped by Nahal Oz militants in the Hamas attacks on October 7. He turned 22 while in captivity.
His family said he is a big fan of football player Lionel Messi and dreams of going to the US to watch an NBA game.
They said he and his father planned to get a lion tattoo before Matan’s kidnapping, and that his father has now gotten it.
Alon Ohel
Alon Ohel was 22 years old when he was kidnapped at the Nova festival during the Hamas attacks on October 7.
Other hostages who were released said they were kept with Ohel throughout their captivity, according to the Times of Israel.
According to Israeli media, Ohel is a talented pianist who plans to study jazz in Tel Aviv.
His family took a yellow piano to the Tel Aviv square, named “Hostage Square”, in his honor.
Guy Gilboa-Dalal
Guy Gilboa-Dalal was 22 years old when he was kidnapped from the Nova music festival during the Hamas attacks on October 7. He was taken along with his childhood best friend, 24-year-old Evyatar David.
According to the Hostage and Missing Family Forum, he has a deep passion for Japanese culture, taught himself the language and dreams of visiting the country.
In February 2025, Hamas filmed Gilboa-Dalal and David watching the release of other hostages and posted the video on Telegram.
Gilboa-Dalal’s brother, Gal Gilboa-Dalal, told CNN this represented psychological torment.
“Making them see what freedom can be like for them and then closing the door and dragging them back to hell – it’s horrible,” he said.
