This year’s edition of Olympia Brasil, one of the biggest sporting events in the country, which will feature nine categories in its amateur bodybuilding circuit and three divisions of the IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) Professional League, will take place this weekend in São Paulo.

The festival will take place at Anhembi, located at Av. Olavo Fontoura, 1209, in the north of the capital of São Paulo. The official production estimate is that, in total, more than 800 bodybuilders will participate in the championships.

On days when there are championships, the event will take place as follows: amateur athletes will begin competing at 10am and a break will be given at 1pm for professional bodybuilders to perform.

When both IFBB Professional League shows end their previews, the NPC (“National Physique Committee”, the amateur federation that gives access to the IFBB professional card) competitions will return.

The professional finals are scheduled for 4pm, so if the amateur shows have not ended by that time, there will be another break and the tournaments will resume after the conclusion of the professional competitions.

Friday (17/10)

Weighing in amateur categories:

  • Men: From 10am to 2:30pm;
  • Women: From 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Weigh-in and press conference of professional athletes: From 4:30 pm.

Saturday (18/10)

  • Shows in the Special, Women’s Physique, Figure, Fitmodel, Bodybuilding and Classic Physique categories from 10am;
  • Previews of 212 and Bikini at 1pm;
  • 212 and Bikini finals at 4pm.

Domingo (19/10)

  • Shows in the Wellness, Bikini and Men’s Physique categories from 10am;
  • Classic Physique previews at 1pm;
  • Classic Physique Finals at 4pm.

In addition to the championships, there will be a “guest posing” (the act of performing on stage without necessarily competing. Generally, the athletes called up are out of preparation, which means, in most cases, a larger physique, but less conditioned than in the championships) by Ramon Dino and another by Eduarda Bezerra, both Olympia champions.
