One earth tremor of preliminary magnitude 3.9 on the Richter scale was recorded this Tuesday morning (14), in western Bahia. THE The epicenter of the earthquake was located near the municipality of Barreirasaround 10:14 am (Brasília time). THE phenomenon was also felt in neighboring citiessuch as Luís Eduardo Magalhães (BA) and Taguatinga (TO), in the southwest of Tocantins.
The event was detected by RSBR (Brazilian Seismographic Network) stations and analyzed by LabSis/UFRN (Seismological Laboratory of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte). According to experts, it is a tremor of moderate magnitude, within the standards of seismic activity recorded in Brazil.
