A confrontation between Military Brigade teams and homicide suspects ended with two deaths, in Garibaldi (RS), in the early hours of this Thursday (16). According to the BM, they carried a submachine gun, in addition to other weapons.
The confrontation reportedly began after police attempted to approach a vehicle. According to information from BM, the team was met with gunfire by the two occupants, who were wearing ballistic vests.
The police officers then retaliated and hit the two men, who died.
The police reported that they had committed a homicide in the municipality minutes before. With them, in addition to the submachine gun, the BM said they found two pistols and ammunition.
The vehicle used by the duo was reported stolen/robbed. The location was isolated until forensics arrived. No police officer was injured in the action.
