In the future, Vienna will rely more heavily on gross wages for housing subsidies

So now someone is doing it: Since 2018, the states have been solely responsible for collecting the housing subsidy contribution, and since then they have also been able to determine for themselves what proportion of gross wages is withheld. The original one percent, which consists of 0.5 percent from the employer side and 0.5 percent from the employee side, has not yet been changed by any federal state.
