This year’s edition of the Olympia, the most important bodybuilding championship in the world, took place last weekend in Las Vegas, in the United States. As usual, champions were defeated, and there were unprecedented titles, with emphasis –among others– on Ramon Rocha Queiroz, known as Dino, and Derek Lunsford, who won the tournament in the Classic Physique and Open categories, respectively.
Both the Brazilian and the North American have physical educator and former bodybuilder from Paraná Fabrício Pacholok as their coach. The athletes also share the trainer – nutritionist and responsible for the hormonal protocol – Chris Aceto.
Much of the content generated in the Brazilian “fitness” environment took place through interactions between the athletes and the coach, who on several occasions – both in Brazil and in the United States – trained the duo personally during the preparation for the Olympia, highlighting the friendship that the three created.
The results of the Open and Classic Physique at Olympia 2025 signified a series of historic moments, such as the fact that Ramon Dino became the first Brazilian man to win the Olympia as an athlete. Another fact is that, with the two titles, Pacholok is the first Brazilian coach in history to win tournament titles in men’s categories.
Lunsford became the second Mister Olympia to regain his post after losing it on stage. The first was Jay Cutler in 2009, when he won his third Olympia championship after losing the 2008 edition to Dexter Jackson.
Names like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu regained their position as Mister Olympia, but had not lost it on stage. While the Austrian did not attend the 1976 Olympia, the Italian did not compete in the 1977 edition of the event.
In addition to his success with the two bodybuilders mentioned, Pacho obtained other impressive results at Olympia 2025, such as a top 3 in Woman’s Physique, with Zama Benta, and a top 10 in the Open, with Goodvito.
