Via Verde Shopping will promote, on the 18th and 19th of October, a special event in partnership with the Department of Zoonoses, aimed at the responsible adoption of puppies and kittens, anti-rabies vaccination and educational actions on rabies prevention. The initiative will take place from 10am to 4pm, in the shopping mall’s parking lot, and will bring together free activities aimed at the whole family.
The main action of the event will be the puppy dog and cat adoption fair, which seeks to encourage responsible adoption and love for animals. To adopt, you will need to present an official document with photo, be over 18 years old and sign the responsible adoption term, ensuring the care and well-being of the new companions.
During the weekend, free rabies vaccinations will also be carried out for dogs and cats from three months old. Teams from the Department of Zoonoses will be present guiding the public on the importance of immunization and basic care for domestic animals.
In addition, the event will feature the distribution of educational booklets for children, with accessible and playful language, which will cover topics such as responsible ownership and rabies prevention. The action aims to raise awareness among children and promote health education in a fun and participatory way.
As part of the solidarity initiatives, Via Verde Shopping will also promote, in partnership with the Municipal Kennel, a campaign to collect food for puppies and kittens. Donations can be made throughout the event, directly at the fair space.
