CC OO asks Sabadell for “extraordinary economic recognition” for the staff after the takeover bid

The representation of the CC OO union at Banco Sabadell has demanded this Friday from the entity “extraordinary financial recognition” to the staff for their “effort and exemplary behavior” during the BBVA takeover process.

During the operation, which failed as it did not reach 30% acceptance among shareholders, the workers have endured “commercial pressures, lack of resources and constant work overload,” the union said in a statement.

Now, “it is time to recognize the effort and professionalism of the group’s staff,” he added.

Workers’ representatives demand an “immediate reopening of the negotiation on social benefits” to address issues such as “professional career, more contributions to the pension plan, teleworking and food aid.”

“Now, the board of directors faces the challenge of fulfilling the commitments made: developing an ambitious project and maintaining attractive remuneration for shareholders, but never at the cost of squeezing the workforce again,” the union said.
