“Reforma Casa Brasil” will offer credit and technical assistance for housing renovations across the country

The president’s government (PT) informed that it will launch the program “on Monday (October 20, 2025)Casa Brasil Renovation”. The initiative will make available R$40 billion in credit for home renovations and improvements. The information was confirmed by Palácio do Planalto this Thursday (October 16, 2025).

The program will count on R$30 billion from the Social Fund, aimed at families with incomes of up to R$9,600. Another R$10 billion will come from Caixa Econômica Federal, through the SBPE (Brazilian Savings and Loan System), for families with incomes above this amount. The initial goal is to make 1.5 million hires.

According to the government, the program will serve families who already own property, but “face structural or adequacy problems”such as damaged roofs, compromised floors, precarious installations, lack of accessibility or the need for expansion.

The launch is part of a set of measures by the Lula government to stimulate the housing sector. On October 10, Planalto had already a new model of real estate credit aimed at the middle class, designed to sustain the growth of financing in a scenario of scarcity of savings resources.
