José Mourinho had a loving and unexpected moment at Porto Airport, as Benfica departed for the game against Chaves, counting for the Portuguese Cup. The coach, known for his direct and good-humored style, noticed a group of fans where the father of Leonardo Lopes, a young 17-year-old goalkeeper, was present.
With his usual irony, Mourinho asked: “Is that your son, the guy? Go and talk to him.” The coach ended up encouraging the father to come closer and hug his son.
Leonardo Lopes was called by Mourinho to join the red delegation and is among those called up for the match against Chaves, in what could be an important step in the beginning of his career.
