The attack occurred on the eve of Zelensky’s meeting with the President of the United States at the White House. The Ukrainian leader plans to ask the American government to send long-range missiles and strengthen air defense systems, in addition to pushing for tougher economic sanctions against Moscow.
Trump stated this Thursday (16) that he spoke by telephone with Russian President Vladimir, and that both should meet soon in Budapest, Hungary, to try to negotiate an end to the war.
