The CBF confirmed this Thursday (16) the last two friendlies for the Brazilian men’s team in 2025. Amarelinha will face Senegal and Tunisia, in Europe, on the FIFA Date in November. Games against African teams are part of the preparation for the 2026 World Cup.

The clash against Senegal will take place on November 15th (a Saturday), at the Emirates Stadium, in London (England), at 1pm (Brasília time). Three days later, the team faces Tunisia, at 4:30 pm, at the Decathlon Stadium, in Lille (France).

Last Tuesday (14), Brazil suffered an unprecedented defeat to Japan (3-2) in the second of two friendlies against Asian teams. Four days earlier, Amarelinha had defeated South Korea 5-0.

The team has already met with African teams in friendlies before the 2022 World Cup. Six years ago, the team drew 1-1 with Senegal. In September 2022, Amarelinha defeated Tunisia (5-1). Both games took place when the team was led by coach Tite.

“As part of our planning to face different football schools, we wanted to take on two different teams from the African continent. Senegal is a traditional team, they have just won their place in the World Cup. They have a football with a lot of strength and skill. Tunisia represents the school from Mediterranean Africa, with lighter and faster teams. They are two strong teams that will demand a lot from our team”, said Rodrigo Caetano, general executive coordinator of CBF men’s teams.

The team’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti, also plans to play friendlies against European teams in March 2026.
