The Vienna State Ballet once again achieves the qualities of a large company that is intended to combine classical and modern. This feat of strength has been achieved by the new director Alessandra Ferri, who is now showing a first premiere: the European premiere of Alexei Ratmansky Kallirhoecreated in the USA in 2020 just before the pandemic – and therefore only performed a little – with New York’s American Ballet Theater.
