The Manoel Urbano Civil Police, with support from the Military Police, arrested Antônio Tananta, 56, accused of raping a 12-year-old girl. The arrest took place on the afternoon of last Sunday, the 19th, by court order, after representation from the municipal police authority.

The arrest warrant was carried out jointly by the security forces, who located and took the accused to the Manoel Urbano Police Station. The victim is already receiving care and monitoring from the protection network, under the supervision of the Guardianship Council.
All applicable legal measures were adopted and Antônio Tananta is in custody, available to the courts. The case continues under regular processing, based on the evidence already gathered in the investigation.
