Munich – The police shot a soldier during a large-scale exercise by the German Bundeswehr in Erding, Upper Bavaria. A spokesman for the Bundeswehr’s operational command command told the dpa that a misinterpretation on the spot had led to a shot being fired between the training troops and the police called by the population. One soldier was slightly injured, treated in hospital and released.
