Councilors followed the opinion of the TCM (Municipal Audit Court) and approved the mayor’s accounts () for the year 2024 this Wednesday (22).
This is the fourth opinion in favor of Nunes’ accountability since 2021, the year in which he took over as mayor in May following the death of Bruno Covas.
In this Wednesday’s session, 38 councilors were in favor of the TCM’s opinion, while four from PSOL voted against.
In a note, the Nunes administration says that the approval is the result of the governance model focused on the efficient use of resources, with spending control and investment in essential public policies, even in the face of a scenario of economic and social challenges.
