Forget this part of the Tatras now: the National Park Administration advises not to go to the mountains!

On the Polish side of the Tatras, there are very difficult conditions for tourism. According to the Polish Tatra National Park (TPN) it is snowing, the trails are slippery, sometimes wet, and visibility is limited at higher altitudes due to low clouds, which increases the risk of getting lost. The park administration therefore recommends not going to the mountains on Friday. This is reported by the Warsaw correspondent TASR, according to the PAP agency.

Polish services warn that the routes may be icy and their direction invisible. In mountainous areas, it is necessary to have experience with winter tourism and equipment such as crampons, a helmet and a helmet.

According to data from the Polish Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW), snowfall is expected at an altitude above 1,200 meters above sea level with an increase in snow cover of up to 15 centimeters. For the southern part of Malopolska, a first-level warning is in effect against heavy rains and a possible sharp rise in river levels. Residents of the Tatra district received a notification about possible flooding.

Reconstruction work continues on several hiking trails, which may complicate movement. especially in the vicinity of Kasprového vrch, Koščielenská dolina, Dolina Mala Lúka and Stražyská dolina.
