Police in London have started using drones to respond to emergency calls.

London police have found that unmanned devices can reach crime scenes faster and transmit video footage to officers responding to the call, helping them identify and locate suspects.
The experiment, known as “Drone First Response”, was launched in the north London area of Islington. The Metropolitan Police intends to extend it to two additional locations in the capital by the end of the year.
As mentioned, the drones, kept in boxes on the roofs of police buildings, can be activated remotely in case of incidents. After flying over the scene of the incident, the live images are transmitted in real time to the dispatcher or to the employees who are heading to the scene of the incident, via mobile devices.
The Metropolitan Police said the drones would support a range of police needs, including searching for missing people, tracking suspects and collecting evidence from crime scenes.
