The winners of the Austrian Jazz Prize, which is being awarded for the second time, have been announced. The Kenji Herbert Trio was awarded the best album, while Christian Muthspiel and the Orjazztra Vienna were named best live act. The double bassist Helene Glüxam can be happy about the title “Newcomer 2025”, as it was said in a broadcast on Monday. The awards ceremony will take place on November 26th at Casino Velden and will be broadcast live on Ö1 and ORF ON.
