Milei promises more reforms after victory in legislative elections

The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, promised to carry out the reforms that he still considers necessary, after the victory of his party, La Libertad Avanza, in the legislative elections.

Milei told supporters that his party’s big victory in the midterm elections marks a turning point.

“Today we have passed an inflection point,” Milei said after the vote, adding that voters demonstrated their desire to irreversibly change the course of South America’s second largest economy.

He invited the country’s governors to discuss parliamentary agreements and stated that dozens of senators and deputies from other parties could reach understandings with his administration.
