Bus with Flamengo fans overturns in Dutra – 10/27/2025 – Sports

A bus with Flamengo fans overturned on Monday afternoon (27) on the Presidente Dutra highway, causing traffic to be blocked in the direction of São Paulo. According to initial information from the PRF (Federal Highway Police), 16 people were injured and there were no deaths.

In its last update at 5:15 pm on the incident, the road concessionaire, Motiva Rodovias, pointed out that three of the victims were seriously injured.

According to the PRF, the accident occurred at km 282 of Dutra, in the Rio de Janeiro city of Barra Mansa, at 4:20 pm. The vehicle was transporting members of the Urubuzada and Nação 12 fans, who were on their way to Argentina.

Flamengo said it was aware of the accident and contacted the mayor of Barra Mansa, Luiz Furlani. The Municipal Hospital and Santa Casa were then made available to fans to provide care for those injured.

“The club also contacted the General Command of the Fire Department and is in direct contact with the Superintendence of PRF Rio, monitoring all measures on site. We continue to monitor the situation”, published the club.

The organizations Nação 12 and Urubuzada also demonstrated through social media. Both initially stated that there were no serious injuries, information different from that released by Motiva Rodovias, which indicated three seriously injured.

In addition to closing the lane towards São Paulo, the incident left the other lane partially blocked, with traffic flow only in the right lane.

Flamengo will take the field in Avellaneda, in the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores, on Wednesday (29). After a 1-0 victory in Rio de Janeiro, the red and black team will try to protect the advantage to advance to the final.
