Whether you are self-employed or employed, you can be among the beneficiaries of €750 support for digital training. The Cheque-Training + Digital program, promoted by the Institute of Employment and Professional Training (IEFP), was extended until June 2026 and continues to cover everyone who wishes to reinforce technological skills to keep up with the demands of the job market.

According to the IEFP, “applications can be submitted for professional training actions in the digital domain with starting dates from September 28, 2022, with the maximum limit for completing training being June 30, 2026”. The extension thus gives more time to those who want to invest in new qualifications and ensure greater professional stability.

Support to update digital skills

The + Digital Training Check is an initiative that allows reimbursement of up to 750 euros per year to workers who attend certified training in the digital area. Support is given directly to the candidate, who can choose the training most suited to their needs, as long as it is recognized by the IEFP.

According to the institute, the objective is to “stimulate the maintenance of jobs, professional progression and employability of the national population”, in a context increasingly marked by automation and technological transformation.

Who can apply

According to DECO PROTeste, any worker can apply, regardless of the type of employment relationship. Included are:

  • Employees;
  • Independent workers, with business or professional income;
  • Individual entrepreneurs;
  • Members of single-person companies;
  • Workers in public functions.

The measure is aimed at anyone who wants to acquire or update digital skills to adapt to new market demands, prevent the risk of unemployment or progress in their career.

Areas eligible for training

Support can be used for short or medium-term courses in the areas of:

  • Cybersecurity and IT security;
  • E-commerce and digital marketing;
  • Social networks and content management;
  • Data analysis and business intelligence;
  • UX/UI design and productivity tools;
  • Programming, robotics and industrial automation.

Training can be in-person, mixed or completely online, and each application can only cover one training session at a time.

How to submit the application

Registration must be made on the IEFP portal, using the form available online. It is necessary to present proof of registration in the chosen training and wait for the request to be approved. Upon completion of the course, the support is reimbursed to the worker.

Recalls that this incentive “represents a valuable opportunity for those who want to update themselves and reinforce their employability in a constantly evolving market”. The IEFP reinforces that the program was created to “guarantee that all citizens have access to tools that allow them to respond to the challenges of the digital economy”.
