Hundreds of mountain hikers are again in distress due to heavy snowfall on Everest


Kathmandu/Beijing – After heavy snowfall in the Himalayas, mountaineers are once again in distress on Mount Everest. A helicopter that was supposed to bring snow-covered people from the base camp had an accident, the Nepal aviation authority said. A video shows how the helicopter slipped and overturned while landing on snow. According to authorities, the pilot survived. However, it was initially unclear whether the mountaineers could be rescued.
