O driver of a truck who lost his brakes and collided with a wall in the Palmital neighborhood in Belo Horizonte, on the afternoon of this Tuesday (28), died after the ambulance he was in was hit by another vehicle in Santa Luzia, metropolitan region of BH.
According to the Minas Gerais Fire Department (CBMMG), after the truck collision, the man had been rescued in serious condition, being intubated and suffering from intense bleeding.
During the journey to the hospital, the ambulance was hit from the side by a driver without a driver’s license who tried to make a turn and ended up causing the accident.
The impact did not reach the patient, but it developed into a cardiorespiratory arrest. He was rushed to a UPA in the region but ended up dying.
In the accident involving the truck, the helper who was in the passenger seat ended up dying. The truck was carrying gallons of mineral water and reportedly lost its brakes and collided head-on against a wall.
The official expertise of the Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG) was at the scene and will investigate the causes of the accident.
