DECO PROTeste suggests installing a heat recovery unit inside the existing structure, using dry, well-stored firewood and regularly cleaning the equipment to avoid the accumulation of ash and residue that hinder the circulation of hot air.
Even cleaning can be done with a simple and economical trick: after the glass has cooled, use a newspaper dampened with cold ash to remove the dirt, finishing with a damp cloth and a dry newspaper to polish.
Firewood remains the cheapest option
The organization also recalls that, in many regions of the country, firewood is more economical than gas or electricity and, in some cases, even free.
