Lula regrets the death of Lô Borges and says that “MPB wouldn’t be the same” without him

The Chief Executive also said that he got to know the Minas Gerais artist’s songs better through First Lady Janja, who, according to him, has been a “fan” of Lô Borges since his adolescence.

Lula paid tribute to the composer and recalled his partnership with Milton Nascimento and Beto Guedes. Together, they were part of Clube da Esquina, when they released the album of the same name, which, according to the leader, is considered one of the “most important in our history”.

“The MPB we know would not be the same if Lô Borges had not given us the joy of having existed”, says the publication. Lula also thanked the artist and offered solidarity and support to Lô’s family and friends.
