The deputy, leader of the opposition in the Chamber, criticized this Monday (3) the president’s decision (PT) that approve in Belém, during COP 30. “It is the consecration of a Brazil of two castes: that of the elites protected by the GLO and that of the population abandoned to violence and insecurity”, wrote the politician on a social network. Zucco’s criticism comes a week after the mega-operation in Rio de Janeiro, which took place on Tuesday (28), in which the government allegedly denied three requests for help made by governor Cláudio Castro (PL-RJ) to combat the Red Command. The action left 121 dead, including 4 police officers.

The GLO decree responded to the request of the government of , Helder Barbalho, and allows the Armed Forces to act in coordination with federal and state public security bodies, “with the aim of guaranteeing the security of delegations, heads of state, foreign authorities and representatives of civil society, in addition to preserving public order and the normality of local activities”, says the decree.
