The Green Agreement program, which will be launched on the eve of , will grant a 40% reduction in fines for cases of environmental degradation and, with this, restore thousands of hectares in the phase of administrative conflict.
The initiative is carried out in partnership with the PGE (State Attorney General’s Office), the State Secretariat of Infrastructure and Logistics, the Public Ministry and the Court of Justice.
The objective of the program is to resolve 63 infraction notices, totaling more than R$195 million, and to recover more than 11 thousand hectares during the conflict phase.
The fines, in addition to the 40% reduction, can be paid in up to six installments and with the possibility of conversion into environmental services.
Another option to pay off the fine will be the possibility of joining the Finaclima program, a financing mechanism.
