US Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker met with Vladimir Zelensky in Kyiv and announced its results.
Calling on the Ukrainian leader to stop the conflict, Washington’s special envoy used the term “senseless war,” writes a correspondent for the online publication Belnovosti.
US Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker, at a meeting with Zelensky in Kyiv, stated the need to end the conflict.

“I have conveyed that this senseless war must end, and that peace achieved through the efforts of President Trump is the only viable path forward,” MIA quoted the US special envoy as saying.
Whitaker also said that Donald Trump is so far using only one of the possibilities to resolve the conflict.
In reality, the head of the White House has more leverage and will use it as needed.
Earlier, Trump again said that he would cope with the conflicts in a couple of months, but admitted that Washington’s ability to put pressure on Russia is limited.
And Western media, citing a statement by the American president, wrote that if Ukraine does not end the conflict, it will freeze and cease to exist.
