The Attorney General of the Republic, , asked the (Supreme Federal Court) to extend the deadline for concluding investigations into offices of the (Superior Court of Justice).
In a statement that is under secrecy and was obtained by Sheetalso raised doubts regarding suspicions that were highlighted in a report delivered at the beginning of October.
Gonet’s questions deal, above all, in relation to the suspicions of the PF, a property management company that is one of the main investigators in the case.
The PF report was based mainly on information contained in the cell phone of lawyer Roberto Zampieri, murdered in 2023, and investigations into lobbyist Andreson de Oliveira Gonçalves and people who worked at the STJ.
For the attorney general, the criminal hypotheses highlighted by the PF are credible. He asked that precautionary measures, such as arrests and the use of electronic ankle bracelets on suspects in the case, be maintained.
In the document, Gonet says that he sees no impediment for the case’s rapporteur, the minister, to give the PF more time to provide clarifications on points that have not yet been concluded in the investigation.
“It is also recommended that the Federal Police clearly delimit the points of the investigation that still require additional production of evidence, or that have ongoing investigations or analyzes pending completion”, says the PGR.
However, Gonet states that although the PF report “traces an extensive panorama of frauds commonly found in processes involving bankruptcy fraud, there is no reference to processes of this type among those considered suspicious by the police authority”.
The same can be said, according to him, in relation to Fource, which was identified in the report as a “pillar for promoting the criminal scheme”.
For the PGR, this “raises doubts regarding the existence of elements that support the chosen investigative route.”
In the report, the PF said that Fource was conceived under the guise of a company specializing in judicial recovery and restructuring of crisis companies, but was “instrumentalized as a mechanism to circumvent creditors and manipulate legal processes for its own benefit.”
According to the police, part of the processes suspected of having been negotiated in were of interest to Fource and his partners, Haroldo Augusto Filho and Valdoir Slapak.
When contacted by the report, Fource said, in a note, that “he trusts that the Judiciary and the Judiciary will stick to the facts and evidence, ensuring, with lucidity, the truth and Justice.”
“Fource reiterates the fragility of the content of the Federal Police report, which is based on mere relationships and subjective conclusions, without presenting any concrete element or evidence to support the allegations contained therein”, says the company.
“The report ignores the absence of effective irregularities, relying on decontextualized messages with no technical or legal basis. We reaffirm our integrity, our professionalism and the credibility that mark our trajectory in the market.”
The company says it remains at the disposal of authorities.
In the statement sent to the Supreme Court, Gonet also saw a lack of reference, in the report, to police analyzes and information about the elements extracted from cell phones, “which makes not only the checking of the elements but also their necessary contextualization unfeasible.”
“The same, it must be said, applies to the analysis of financial operations and banking flows.”
He also says that the circumstances described in the report, although “are not accompanied by corroborating elements”.
According to the PGR, no elements were found, at least at first, to support a thesis that those involved communicated through nominal disguises or codes.
At the beginning of October, the PF presented a preliminary report on the operation, called Sisamnes, the first phase of which turns one year old this month. The operation report to date.
The PF pointed out, in it, the suspicion that other STJ employees, in addition to three already identified, have participated in a court scheme and intends to expand its investigations to find out who these people are.
Sisamnes was established to investigate irregularities committed in court offices and mentions the reproduction of “typical patterns of action by criminal organizations”.
The three employees already identified worked with court ministers and are among the main people being investigated in the operation. The PF’s suspicion is that there are others. Their defenses have always denied wrongdoing.
